JAIPUR: Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday said final year exams of all degree, engineering and polytechnic colleges would be held in July. These exams were postponed due to Covid. Higher and technical education department officials have been directed to ensure that all health protocols are followed during the exams.

Gehlot also informed that students in the first and second year or below final year level should be promoted to the next level on provisional basis. “Once the situation returns to normal, exams should be conducted,” an official statement said. Mask and sanitiser is compulsory for both students and examiners during the exams. Also, social distancing has to be followed during the entire process of exams.

State technical education minister Subhash Garg informed that number of examination centres could be increased to ensure that social distancing format is followed.

The state has enrollment of 4.29 lakh students in higher education institutions in 2020-21. The official statement doesn’t say anything about the admissions.
